Flea & Music Alley is part of National Heritage Board’s larger campaign called ‘Explore Singapore!’ which will run from 14 Nov till 6 Dec 2009.
The campaign aims to enthuse and excite the public and create a museum going culture. There will be various events during the 3 weeks that will be held at our museums. One of the events is The Flea and Music Alley which Timbre Music will be organising. There be live stage performances and flea market vendors with free Timbre food and beer given away to visitors.
The event will be held at the car park area outside Timbre @ The Substation and the alleyway in between The Substation and the Peranakan Museum.

Then we saw the Stars Again: an evening with amberhaze
amberhaze will be launching his debut album “Then We Saw The Stars Again” with a performance at Dempsey HOUSE on Friday, 27 November 2009.
“Then We Saw The Stars Again”, is amberhaze’s full-length album recorded throughout 2008 and produced with Nick Chan at Wallwork Studios. The record expands the sonic palette displayed on amberhaze’s 2008 Newborn EP and shapes new facets to a project in constant evolution.
For the event at House @ Dempsey, amberhaze will perform original music from the album as well as a second set consisting of interpretations of music from artists as diverse as Aphex Twin, Brad Mehldau, Radiohead, Mogwai and more.

The Opening Party will debut the Wallwork Sessions; a series of micro-performances by Wallwork featuring:

Anthropology studies gets exciting every week. This week, we study the priority seats in MRT trains. Why do people sit on priority seats/ reserved seats? Why do they not give up their seats to those who are in need?
We also got to take trains from Woodlands to Ang Mo Kio during class time to do some observation of human behaviour towards priority seats. Heh. Shiok.
I just read Freakonomics (you should too) and I wish I had the time to answer these questions!
